Non-invasive fat reduction · registered nurse

Non-invasive fat reduction in Scottsdale, for the pocket that will not move.

Controlled cooling, applied to a pinchable area of fat, can reduce that pocket gradually over the following weeks. It is not weight loss, it is not for everyone, and the Contour Consult tells you which side of that line you are on before you pay.

  • Performed by Andre Whitaker, RN, under the medical director's written protocol.
  • For a pinchable area close to your goal weight: flanks, lower abdomen, inner thighs, under the chin.
  • Usually two sessions per area, six to eight weeks apart, with photographs repeated at twelve weeks.
  • $750 per area per session. Your plan states the total before session one.

Results vary from person to person, and some people see little change. Nothing on this page is a promise of an outcome, and the Contour Consult may end in a no.

How it works

What cooling does, and what it cannot.

Fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the skin and muscle around them. A cooled applicator held to a pinchable area for a set time affects some of the fat cells in that pocket, and the body clears them gradually over the following weeks. The change is local and modest, and it shows slowly. That is the honest version.

It does not reduce weight, tighten loose skin, or touch the fat that sits deeper around the organs. If your concern is loose skin or general weight, the Contour Consult will say so and point you somewhere better, which is sometimes a dietitian and sometimes a surgeon.

The risks, stated plainly

What can go wrong, before you sign.

  • Redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness for days.
  • Numbness or tingling in the area that can last several weeks.
  • A rare risk of the treated fat growing larger instead of smaller, which may need surgical treatment. We name it before you sign.

For

  • Adults close to their goal weight with one or two pinchable areas that training has not changed.
  • People who can wait three months to see the full change.
  • People who want the plan, the price and the realistic range written down first.

Not for, or not yet

  • Anyone hoping for weight loss. It is not.
  • Loose skin without a pinchable pocket; tightening may suit you better.
  • Cold-related conditions such as cryoglobulinemia or cold urticaria, or anyone pregnant. The Contour Consult asks.

Illustrative stories. Amberlune is a fictional clinic; these are written examples, not patient reviews.

Two sessions per flank, a book I actually finished, and a change at week twelve I could see in the side-by-side. Modest, like they said.

Illustrative story, fat reduction

Tessa said my abdomen was loose skin, not fat, and sent me to tightening instead. I would have wasted money otherwise.

Questions

Questions people ask before they book

Still unsure? Call (480) 555-0193 and ask Lena.

How much fat does it remove?

A modest, local reduction in the treated pocket over several weeks. We will not give you a number; the twelve-week photographs show you what changed.

Does it hurt?

Intense cold and pulling for the first minutes, then numbness. Some people find the massage afterwards uncomfortable. Most read or work.

How many sessions?

Usually two per area, six to eight weeks apart. Your plan states the number.

When will I see a change?

Gradually from about week four, with most of it by week twelve. That is why the check is at twelve weeks.

What is the rare risk?

In a small number of people the treated fat grows larger instead of smaller. It is uncommon, it can need surgery to correct, and we tell you before you sign.

Is it the brand-name treatment?

It is cooling-based fat reduction with an FDA-cleared device. Brand names are trademarks, so we describe what the treatment does.
