The short answer

Start laser hair removal in October or November and finish your six sessions by April, especially for legs, arms and back. Covered areas such as underarms and bikini can often continue into summer if they truly stay out of the sun. Any area with a tan, a sunburn or self-tanner waits two weeks. Sunscreen and covering up between sessions are part of the plan, not a suggestion. General guidance only; your plan sets your calendar.

What changes it

What raises the risk

  • A fresh tan or sunburn, the main cause of burns and dark or light spots.
  • Self-tanner on the area; it must be fully gone.
  • Some medications that make skin sensitive to light; the Contour Consult asks.
  • Skipping sunscreen between sessions in the months that look cloudy.

Plainly

Why we will move your session

If the area has seen sun, we reschedule, free. A session on tanned skin is how marks happen, and no calendar is worth that.

Planning a whole year

Book the Contour Consult in September, start in October, finish by April, touch up the following winter. Rosa sends the calendar with your plan.

Still unsure? Call (480) 555-0193 and ask Lena.

Can I have laser in summer?

On covered areas that have not seen sun, sometimes. Exposed areas wait.

Does sunscreen count?

It helps, but a tan through sunscreen still counts as a tan.

What about darker skin?

Many skin tones can be treated with the right laser and settings; the Contour Consult and a test spot decide.

Is rescheduling free?

Always, for sun.
